FED:BlueScope to cut 1000 jobs = 3
The company restructure will involve one-off costs of between $400 million and $500
million, which will impact upon the company's financial performance in the first half
of the current financial year.
Mr O'Malley said BlueScope's first half performance would also be driven by the Australian
dollar's value against the greenback, demand, and raw material prices.
He expects a significant net loss in the first half, and a small underlying net loss.
An update is due to be provided at the company's annual general meeting in November.
