NSW: 24-y-o man charged over sexual assault of elderly woman
The sexual assault and attempted murder of an 83-year-old woman on the New South Wales
far south coast has resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old man.
Police say the alleged offender was apprehended at a premises in Tuross Head about
9.30 last night (AEST) .. and charged with several offences .. including two counts of
sexual assault .. wounding with grievous bodily harm .. and attempted murder.
He was refused bail and is expected to appear in Bega Local Court today.
The woman remains in a stable condition.
